Geometric Sans Serif typefaces
are characteristically based on geometric shapes as the name indicates. Their letterforms resemble perfect or near-perfect circles, squares, and triangles.
These typefaces have strokes that can enclose shapes or also come together to form geometric points or vertices. They do not have serifs.
Geometric Sans Serif typefaces first began in the 20th century. They have a very modern look and feel and tend to avoid use
in body text.
A widely known Geometric typeface is Futura, designed by Paul Renner in 1927.
